The General Assembly of the Gulf federations affiliated to the Asian Executive Office of the International Basketball Federation formed the members of the Coordinating Committee headed by Abdul Latif Al Fardan from the United Arab Emirates and the membership of Dr. Ghassan Tashkandi from Saudi Arabia, Wissam Abdulaziz from the Kingdom of Bahrain, Khalfan Al Nabei from the Sultanate of Oman, Mohammed Al Mughaisib from Qatar and Rashid Al Enezi from Kuwait, and the selection of Salem Al Mutawa as Secretary A year-old committee from the United Arab Emirates, during the meeting held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in the presence of the Executive Director of the Asian Basketball Executive Office, Hagop Khajerian.

The Assembly decided that the United Arab Emirates would continue to host the headquarters of the Coordinating Committee until the end of the current session in 2023.
