The Saudi Basketball Federation has announced the appointment of Mr. Hisham Qassem as the Executive Director of the Federation.

He brings a wealth of distinguished administrative and sports experience, having previously worked in numerous administrative and executive roles.

Mr. Hisham Qassem began his professional career in the retail and marketing sector, rising through the executive ranks to become the CEO of the commercial sector at Toys “R” Us Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Hisham Qassem has been a basketball referee since 2004, earning his international badge in 2014. He has represented the Kingdom in many international events and recently obtained accreditation as an international referee instructor in 2022 from the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).
