The Saudi national team enters its preparatory camp before facing Indonesia and Lebanon

The players of the first Saudi national basketball team organized their preparatory camp today in Dammam, in preparation for facing their Indonesian counterpart on February 24 this month, and their Lebanese counterpart on the 27th of the same month in Jeddah at King Abdullah Sports City indoor hall (Al-Jawhara).
The team is supervised administratively by Yasar Mokhtar and Abdul Karim Al-Hawsawi, while the technical supervision by Ali Al-Sanhani and his assistants Khaldoun Al-Mawlid and Krikor Kerkorian, Amir Eid as a physical trainer, and physiotherapist Salim Al-Sheikh.
14 players were chosen to enter the camp, and they are (Mohammed Al-Marwani – Muhammad Al-Suwailem – Ayoub Al-Hawsawi – Nasser Abu Jalas – Thamer Muhammad – Khaled Abdel-Jabbar – Muhammad Al-Saqer – Muthanna Al-Marwani – Fahd Al-Salik – Musab Qazi – Osama Al-Barqawi – Ali Al-Shubaily – Ayman Bilal – Nasser Al-Absi).
The team is expected to play two friendly matches with its Bahraini counterpart before facing Indonesia and Lebanon in the qualifiers.
It is noteworthy that the draw placed the Saudi team in Group C along with the teams of Jordan, Lebanon and Indonesia.
The group qualifiers are played in the home and away system, and 3 teams from each group qualify for the second stage of the qualifiers, which includes two groups, each group consisting of 6 teams, playing in the home and away system, and qualifies for the World Cup from each group I, II and III in addition to the hosts (Japan and Philippines) .
